Australian NRL Referee To Control Grand Final

The AMERICAN NATIONAL RUGBY LEAGUE is excited to announce that NRL Referee Chris Sutton will control the AMNRL Grand Final XIII in Conshohocken, PA on Saturday, August 28.

This is the first in a number of new strategies to develop match officials for the AMNRL. This includes referees exchange and training from Australia. More

Semi-final time for Knights and Warriors

In a rematch of last years semi-final, the New York Knights head to New Haven to play the undefeated Warriors. In their last meeting, the Warriors stirred to a late victory.

The Knights/Warriors rivalry was ignited when the Knights secured two late victories in both their meetings last year. The Warriors are looking to continue the history reversal. Both teams will be ready for kickoff at Ken Strong Stadium in West Haven, Connecticut this Saturday at 1.00pm.

Slayers push Knights to the Edge

The New York Knights entered the first round of the AMNRL playoffs against the DC Slayers bursting with confidence after their success at the War of the Shore.

However, the Slayers has different ideas and pushed the 2009 champs right to the end with the Knights securing victory in only the final minutes 28-22. The Knights now face the unbeaten Warriors in New Haven this Saturday, the winner moving into the 2010 AMNRL Championship final.

Knights Fall Short of Victory at the Shore

The New York Knights fell just short of overall victors at the annual War at the Shore tournament in New Jersey. Narrowly defeated in the final by the Washington Internationals, the Knights battled hard all day to earn their spot in the final with victories over Canada, Philadelphia and Boston.

Despite the loss in the final, the tournament was a great morale boost for the Knights as they prepare for their playoff match against the DC Slayers at Pier 40, Manhattan on August 14. More

Knights prepared for battle at the War at the Shore

The New York Knights head to Dealy Field at Sea Isle City in New Jersey this Saturday for the annual War at the Shore tournament. It is the 13th incarnation of the War at the Shore and welcomes teams from throughout North America. The tournament will see teams from New England, Boston, Canada, Washington, Philadelphia, Chicago and Connecticut, all set for battle against the New York Knights. In a grueling day of Rugby League, the Knights will need to win at least five games to be crowned tournament champions. Following their big win against the Bucks County Sharks, the Knights are ready to take on all challengers. More

Knights take on Sharks in Washington Crossing Challenge this Friday night (Jul 23rd)

The New York Knights are returning to Pier 40 this Friday night for the annual Washington Crossing Challenge against the Bucks County Sharks. The Sharks are not competing in this years AMNRL championship, but hold a fierce reputation in American Rugby League and will prove worthy opponents for the Knights. The Knights are excited to have an opportunity to play their traditional rivals and look forward to testing themselves against the ferocious Sharks. The scheduled game against the Northern Raiders will not go ahead. The Sharks game will kick-off at 9 PM on Friday night at Pier 40, Manhattan. Get to the game for an evening of exciting Rugby League and to cheer on your Knights.

Vipers forfeit game against Knights

The Pittsburgh Vipers have withdrawn from this weekend's clash against the New York Knights. The demands of week in, week out Rugby League have taken their toll on the newly formed Vipers and they are unable to complete the trip to New York. It is bitterly disappointing for both the players and the fans of the New York Knights who were looking forward to welcoming their team back to the city. Instead the Knights will be holding a fans meet and greet session at the Australian bar at 20 W 38th St on Saturday night starting at 9.30pm. More

Axeman chop down battered Knights

Further building upon one of the greater AMNRL league rivalries, the Jacksonville Axemen faced off against the New York Knights last Saturday in blistering 96 F (30 C) temperatures with high humidity. The temperature, a large and raucous crowd, and ultimately a well disciplined and hard charging Jacksonville Axemen group proved too much for the Knights, who went down 30-8 after making the trip South. The game was a rematch of the 2009 Grand Final eleven months ago, where the Knights were victorious. More

Knights ready for Championship rematch against Jacksonville

The New York Knights are heading south to Florida for their Championship rematch against the Jacksonville Axemen. The Axeman are currently undefeated in 2010 and have enjoyed big victories against strong opponents such as Boston and Aston. The New York Knights headed to Norwalk and enjoyed for their first ever victory against the Connecticut Wildcats. Final score was 34-20 to the Knights in a tough uncompromising match. Knights players' MVP Andrew Le Breton continually troubled the Wildcats opposition and was punishing in defense. Other stars for the Knights were Todd Fisher with a personal tally of 18 points and Etienne Valette in his A team debut for the Knights. More

In a stunning come from behind victory that welcomed the New York Knights to their new home turf at Ken Strong Stadium, the New Haven Warriors defeated the Knights 34-25 in the final minutes. The Knights twice beat New Haven last year in similar fashion, including a tight playoff elimination match. The Knights' squad held the ascendancy for much of the match, but the Warriors were resilient and stormed home thanks to two key tries from Damien O'Malveny in the final quarter. Knights face tough opposition in New Haven

After securing a first round victory against the Boston 13s, the New York Knights head to New Haven this weekend to face the fiercely competitive Warriors. While having one of the strongest rosters in 2009, the Warriors have furthered strengthened their squad with the recruitment of two professional Australian Rugby League players. Tony Duggan, who played for the Brisbane Broncos and ex-Cronulla Sharks player Jye Mullane, both arrive at the Warriors for a match that will give the AMNRL a true indication of who will be the key teams in this year's championship.
